Composting

For any gardener, having a steady supply of quality compost is essential. In order to do this you can either buy compost bags over and over again, or you can start your own compost pile. Creating your compost is relatively easy, it jusst requires a steady stream of biodegradeable materials, such as your food waste, human and animal waste (excrement), and any plant trimmings that you get during gardening, including grass from lawnmowing. Once you have all of this stuff, you can then pile it all together, and it will begin a process of decomposition. To help this along, you should periodically mix it so that it happens evenly. Once this has gone on for a couple of weeks, all of the compost should be ready for use, and be fairly high grade compost as well, suitable for your garden. Doing this can save a lot of money, and help with the efforts against climate change, as you don’t have to pay for the transport of your waste or of the compost, and you’re effectively using renewable materials.
